Born Tough reached out to me stating they liked the content of my website and wanted me to try some of their apparel out. I informed them that I would be writing an honest, unbiased review of their products and they had enough confidence in their apparel that they let me pick out a top and bottom (whatever style I wanted) and shipped it to me. In exchange for this free apparel I agreed to write an honest review and place some links in this review so that others may find their way to their site. Besides this initial free apparel, I am NOT a BT associate and do NOT make money from their product sales or the below links.
The Company: this appears to be an American based, American made company. The products on their site seem well made and with fitness enthusiasts in mind. The shirt that shipped had what appeared to be oil or some other stain on it when it arrived, so I had asked for a replacement. It did take the company awhile to set that up, but in all fairness, I was also moving very slow during the return process due to a fresh back injury/surgery.
The Shirt: The shirt I ordered was the Born Tough Momentum Short Sleeve T-shirt in Steel Gray color. I asked for a large. The fabric is a little bit thicker style moisture wicking type fabric, very breathable. I have worn it in both cold and very hot temps and remained quite comfortable. It fits very nice in the arms, chest and is not nearly as tight around the abdomen (which was nice since it hides my back surgery belly I am currently working off haha). The sleeves are just a TAD too long in my opinion, but not nearly as bad as other shirts I own and fits nice and snug on the arms to show off those guns. The shirt is a little more loose on the abdomen, as I mentioned, which is nice and its also a little longer than most T-shirts of this fabric type, which is nice when working out since my arms are above my head a lot and I don’t feel like I have to keep pulling the shirt down. The shirt is even longer in the back, which is nice for leg day or any bending movements so, again, I don’t have to keep pulling the shirt down. My only complaint about this shirt would be that it fits a little too snug for my liking around the neck, but its not uncomfortable. Overall I love the shirt and wear it frequently to the gym, out and about or even just around the house.
The Pants: I went with the Born Tough Momentum Track Suit Jogger Pant in Gray, size XL. These are some of the most comfortable sweat pants/joggers I have every owned. Similar material as the shirt, but maybe even more breathable. I can squat, kick, lay down or do whatever movement is required without having to adjust the pants at all. Nice thick elastic band that also has heavy duty draw strings if needed (they fit so nice I don’t use the draw strings). The pockets have zippers and are well thought out for a gym rat because they are on the sides, more than the front. The pants also have a media pocket (phone, MP3 player, etc). It also has a towel loop on the waistband on the side to run a towel through, I have only used it a couple times when I don’t have a place to set my towel down at the gym, but its very thoughtful to have it on the pants. This would be more handy for someone jogging outdoors and needs to wipe sweat off. The pant legs are cuffed, which isn’t preferable to me, but it’s hard to find pants that are not cuffed anywhere these days. Overall I love the sweats/pants as well. I practically lived in them after my surgery because they are so comfy and I didn’t have to adjust them while spending 12 weeks on a couch. I have also worn them to the gym and multiple at home workouts and love the flexibility and breathability they have while also keeping me warm in my cold basement during the winter months.
Overall I would definitely recommend the above products and I also plan to explore some other options at their site (I was thinking about trying some of their shorts). I will include some links below to their site. They also have a lot of other equipment and apparel (boxing gloves, head bands, waist bags (aka fanny packs), various lifting belts, backpacks, water bottles, etc.)

If anyone out there from Born Tough is reading this, thanks for the chance to try your wonderful apparel and for your interest in my website. Sorry it took so long, but with COVID and an unexpected back surgery I had to take some leave from the fitness world for a bit. I truly enjoyed working with your company and would be happy to review other products if you’d like (I am interested in some shorts if you’re feeling up to it haha).
